Wentworth hit China for Me & City

Wentworth Miller is now hitting China for a fashion TV program and will fly back to US on Monday because of the ME & CITY and the Chinese Clothing line that he decided to represent for, and he has huge poster ads in Shanghai subway. It’s the first time Miller has visited China and according to the passengers on the same flight the actor was nice and very friendly. He agreed to all requests for group photos and autographs, the report said.

Me & City invited Wentworth to open their store and for the ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday. He also attended a fashion show and celebration party held at Central Park in Pudong last Friday. He also had a press conference as the Ambassador of a domestic clothing company in Shanghai’s Lujiazui area last Saturday (October 17).

He was so popular in the said country because of the series Prison Break. The Golder Globe nominated Miller arrived in the city last Friday (October 16) and said “Hello, Shanghai” to fans in Chinese, according to the report.

LONDON - Madonna and filmmaker Guy Ritchie will end their marriage after nearly eight years, the couple said in a joint statement Wednesday.

The couple asked the media to "maintain respect for their family at this difficult time," said the statement, e-mailed to The Associated Press by Liz Rosenberg, Madonna's publicist.

A financial settlement has not been agreed by the wealthy couple, who must also decide child custody issues.

In London, Ritchie's mother, Lady Amber Leighton, told reporters that the family wouldn't be making any statement.

Madonna and Ritchie, director of "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels," married in December 2000 at a Scottish castle. The couple have two children: Rocco, 8, and David Banda, 3, who was adopted from Malawi in 2006. Madonna also has a 12-year-old daughter, Lourdes, from her relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon.

The couple are reportedly worth some $525 million, the bulk of that belonging to Madonna. Ritchie has an estimated $35 million fortune. They own homes in London, Los Angeles and New York, and a 1,200-acre retreat in Wiltshire, England.

Madonna is to perform concerts Wednesday and Thursday in Boston as her "Sticky and Sweet" tour continues. Ritchie's latest movie, "RocknRolla," recently opened to mixed reviews.

Lawyers said the couple would likely try to come to an agreement before heading to court.

"The judgment of the court would be to try and assess what they came in with and divide what they built up fairly equally," said David Allison, a lawyer with Family Law in Partnership, a London firm.

Ritchie's career has faltered during the marriage, while Madonna's songs, videos and concerts remain popular worldwide.

The needs of the couple's children will also be factored by the court, as they were in Britain's latest high-profile celebrity divorce, the battle between former Beatle Paul McCartney and model Heather Mills. In that case, McCartney and Mills fought over money and custody of their young daughter.

Mills received 24.3 million pounds in the divorce after four years of marriage.

"The needs of children figure quite highly, and that was one of the reasons Heather Mills got a gigantic amount of money, despite the fact that the bulk of Sir Paul's money was made before the marriage," Allison said.

The Sun newspaper splashed the split across its front page Wednesday under the headline: "We're Divorcing." It was the second time this year that the superstar couple's marriage has come under the media microscope. Over the summer, Madonna was linked unfairly, she said to the breakup of New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and his ex-wife Cynthia.

Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year.

Prison Break's journey is about a GOOD MAN who wants to save his brother but that requires getting his hands dirty. So how far across that line can a good man go before you can no longer call him good.

Well forget about it. All i can say is that there's something about this guy that make girls go "CRAZY" and it is because of his KILLER EYES. I can say my weakness also is the "EYES" hehe. (Btw, girls in japan got fainted and cried when he visited there) hehehe

"What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real," Beyonce told Essence magazine in its November issue.

The singer says she did not want an engagement ring.

"People put too much emphasis on that," she told the mag. "It's just material and it's just silly to me."

According to Essence, the R&B superstar wears a band over a tattoo of the Roman numeral IV, which is significant because both Beyonce and Jay-Z were born on the fourth day of the month and they were married on April 4.

The couple chose to have a small ceremony because Beyonce said she is not a "traditional woman."

"It's been my day so many days already," she added.

According to court documents released today, the "Gimme More" singer has been ordered to advance $200,000 to her conservatorship legal team to cover a portion of fees. L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz made the ruling during a Sept. 25 hearing. (Another hearing regarding the balance of Spears' legal tab is set for Oct. 28.)

In addition, Goetz also granted Spears' father and coconservator Jamie the authority to sell her Beverly Hills-area home with the assistance of real estate agent Tomer Fridman of Ewing & Associates in Calabasas. According to the court terms, the purchase price must be equal to or exceed the value or property as appraised by the court. And if Fridman sells the house, his commission cannot exceed 5 percent of the selling price.

Earlier this month, the Spears home went on the market for an asking price of $7.9 million.

MIAMI (AFP) - US-based Brazilian racing driver Helio Castroneves, a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, has been indicted on tax evasion charges.

Castroneves was indicted along with a relative and an Ohio attorney, authorities said on Thursday.

Castroneves, who owns a mansion in Coral Gables, is charged with failing to pay more than five million dollars in taxes over a four-year period.

Castroneves' sister, Kali, and his lawyer, Alan Miller were also accused, and the three were expected to surrender to authorities and appear in court on Friday morning.

Castroneves, 33, won the Indianapolis 500 in 2001 and 2002, becoming the fifth man to achieve the feat in consecutive years.

He finished second to Penske teammate and countryman Gil de Ferran in 2003.

Castroneves attracted a new bunch of US fans last year when he won the fifth season of the reality television series "Dancing with the Stars."

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress was married to Rick Salomon - who appears in the 2004 tape with Paris - for a short while in 2002, and found it hard when the infamous tape emerged.

She said: "I look at what he did with Paris and think, 'God, that's disgusting.'"

However, the 37-year-old star does not regret her relationship with Rick, even though their marriage only lasted nine months.

She said: "I haven't made the best choices in men, but there was something that Rick provided that was amazing to me."

"I never had someone make me laugh so much. I was madly in love. It was a really hard marriage. When it ended, it was a heart-crushing thing."

Lindsay Lohan wants to adopt a child.

The "Mean Girls" actress – who recently confirmed she is in a relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson – is looking forward to becoming a mother, and would like to help a child in need.

She said: "At some point, I want to adopt a kid as well. A child in need or a newborn from another country, I'm not sure."

Although the 22-year-old star – who has completed three stints in rehab for alcohol and drug problems – admits she is "happy" in her relationship with Ronson, she stops short of crediting the DJ with helping her get her life back on track.

Instead, Lindsay claims the positive changes in her are solely down to her desire to change.

She said: "People can think what they want. I'm really happy, and that's all that matters. She's a really great person.

"But I think that anything that's change in my life is because of me. I've gone through it and I've had to deal with it and I've made the decision to move forward. So yeah, she's a great person."

The actress added she is proud at the way she has managed to turn her life around – in 2006 she was publicly criticized by producers for being "irresponsible and unprofessional" during the filming of "Georgia Rule" – and is certain she will never return to rehab.

She told Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "I've learned. I'll never go back. And it's not a never-say-never type of thing – it's just I know. I know."

Travis Barker, DJ AM: Plane Crash, Critical Condition

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Nicole Ritchie ex, DJ AM are in critical condition in the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA after the plane they were on crashed shortly after takeoff early this morning.

Barker and AM performed on Friday night along with Gavin DeGraw and Perry Ferrell and then hopped on the six-person plane leaving from Columbia, South Carolina shortly before midnight. (It is being reported that neither Gavin DeGraw or Perry Ferrell were on this flight.)

Barker was burned from the waist down and is expected to survive while AM received severe burns to the face and is currently being treated for his injuries.

The two men were lucky to survive the fiery plane crash and had to jump out of the plane door to safety.

Sadly, four people on the flight died including Barker’s assistant, Chris Baker. The 29-year-old had been featured on the reality show Meet the Barkers and leaves behind his new wife and baby.

The other three people were the pilot Sarah Lemmon, co-pilot James Bland and Charles Still.

“The plane crashed on takeoff and went through a fence near Highway 302, then crossed the road and went up an embankment before being filled with flames,” Lynne Douglas, spokesperson for the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, tells People Magazine. “There was debris all over the runway…..”

David Blaine: Hanging Upside Down For 60 Hours

Illusionist/magician/crazy man David Blaine began his latest stunt this morning at 8:30am (September 22, 2008) in Central Park.

Blaine, 35, will hang upside down over the park’s Wollmann ice rink for 60 hours called the “Dive of Death,” which ends Wednesday at 11pm.

“This is the most difficult for sure. The others, you could get into them soon after the start, but this one is tough from the get-go,” Blaine said after being lowered to head level for an interview.

His previous stunts include 72 hours encased in ice, 44 days without food in a plexiglass box, a week under water, and been buried alive.

Blaine is being held up by a wire attached to his torso and two clips on his boots also linked to the wire and he will endure the entire stunt without eating or sleeping.

A two-hour primetime special will air on ABC from 9-11pm and will show Blaine’s descent from his upside down position.

This guy has way too much time on his hands.

Talk about a total trainwreck. This woman is about as ugly and classless as it can get. Courtney Love is quite frankly a donkey. We cannot even find anything slightly redeeming about her. Maybe if she gets help for the drug abuse, then she can work on cleaning herself up. But it's going to take A LOT of work!

We think Clay Aiken really believes he is adorable and he is seriously mistaken. We actually liked him much better when he was all nerdy at the beginning of 'Idol.' Now he has put on weight and colored his hair dark brown. Ugh. He is gross and we don't like his accent either. We are all about loving accents, just not when you're this unattractive.

We were torn about this one. Jack Black is like a lovable little puppy, but under no circumstances is this man beautiful. So, we could go both ways on this. Wentworth Miller was born in England and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Though he’s from a family full of academics -- his father is a Rhodes Scholar, his mother is a teacher, and both his sisters are lawyers -- Wentworth has been planning for a career in the entertainment industry from a very young age. He had his first taste of the acting bug while studying English at Princeton University. There, he joined the world-renowned a capella group, The Princeton Tigertones, and discovered that he had a real affinity for performing in front of big and small audiences.

After graduating, Wentworth decided to pursue his dream of working in the entertainment industry, so he uprooted himself and moved to California. He began the slow auditioning process and spent the majority of 1996 working as a production associate on three different made-for-television films. He finally landed his first screen role in 1998 in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and followed that up with a succession of appearances on various television shows, such as ER and Popular. Wentworth’s breakthrough role came in 2003, when he was cast as Anthony Hopkins’ younger self in the critically-acclaimed The Human Stain.

Two years later, Wentworth landed the gig of his life after being cast as Michael Scofield on the FOX TV series Prison Break -- a show that became an instant hit and deftly cemented Wentworth’s status as one of the hottest up-and-coming actors around.

Of all the singers in the Philippines, only this girl who made a fantastic trademark of us pinoy! wooohooo.. She doesn't have any shows here but she bump her talent outside our country.. Meet different singers (big time singers) *wink*.. and of course one of the divas "celine dion" (no one here in phil. duets celine dion eversince - correct me if im wrong haha). Charice Pempengco joined Little Big Star in 2005, when she was only 12 years old. She was eliminated right away but was later picked in a wild card round to re-enter the competition. She worked her way up to become a finalist. Although she was the consistent top scorer in the final rounds, she only finished in third place.She is known as the “Young Diva” but also goes by “Cha”.

Charice first attracted attention in the cyberworld when FalseVoice channel of YouTube posted her Little Big Star performance of Whitney Houston's hit, "I Will Always Love You." Many viewers thought her singing was fake, and that she was only lip synching because of her unbelievable vocals. Another popular video was a face-off between Charice Pempengco and America's Got Talent winner, Bianca Ryan. These videos brought Pempengco to the attention of Ten Songs Productions, a production company based in Sweden. She then traveled to Stockholm in June 2007 and recorded seven songs.

A few months later, FalseVoice released a video of Charice Pempengco singing the Dreamgirls anthem, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going." This earned her an invitation from one of the biggest television networks in South Korea, Seoul Broadcasting System, in October 2007 to perform on a talent show called Star King. The Korean audience was wowed by her jaw-dropping rendition of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going."

Many viewers re-posted her Star King performance on YouTube, and Charice Pempengco found her way into American television. TV network E!'s The Daily Ten featured her Star King performance with the headline, "A Star Is Born" on November 14, 2007 and then crowned her as the "Queen of the Week" on the Hollywood Royalty segment, this time with the headline, "A Queen Is Born" on November 16. Charice's StarKing performance was also shown in LCI est @ Vous, a TV news program in France on January 24, 2008.

Charice Pempengco's performance on Star King was featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on its November 28, 2007 episode, in which Ellen showed web videos of different people she would like to have as guests on the show. After showing the video, DeGeneres did a standing ovation and imitated Pempengco's gestures. She later personally invited the young singer to perform on the show.

On December 19, 2007, Charice sang her already popular "And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going" and "I Will Always Love You" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, leaving the audience, Ellen and all of America in awe. Charice received prolonged standing obviations on both of her songs and she was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reception she received form the audience. After an online poll on the Ellen DeGeneres Show's website, Charice won as the Most Memorable Moment of 2007 and is about to guest on the show again soon.

In December 2007, she went back to South Korea as she was chosen as the Most Requested Foreign Act of 2007 on the show after a nationwide voting system. As soon as she got back to the Philippines after her Ellen and Star King guestings, she became an instant celebrity and did several guestings on different TV shows on ABS-CBN Network, becoming one of the most sought-after young singers in the country.

On April 8, 2008, Charice invaded the United Kingdom after she guested on London's Paul O'Grady Show. David Foster & Friends, Mandalay Bay Resort Las Vegas
Charice performed on May 23, 2008 at The Event Center at the Mandalay Bay Resort to participate in a one night only live concert tribute to legendary producer David Foster. Charice had the honor of singing Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" and "I Will Always Love You" from the hit movie Bodyguard. Whitney and Kevin Costner, the stars of Bodyguard thanked Foster via video for writing and producing the mega hit songs for the movie. Charice then sang "And I Am Telling You" from the movie Dreamgirls. She received roaring standing O's for each one of her performances.

Presenter Kirsten Dunst's dress sure had multiple personality disorder. Sequins, feathers, and a frumpy collar. To top off her disoriented look, were mismatched hair and makeup.

Best Multipurpose Dress

By opting for this cystal-encrusted Marchesa gown, J.Lo eliminated the need for heavy duty red carpet bling. All she needed to complete the look, were simple Lorraine Scwartz diamond earrings. We love the retro curls and this dress sure looks comfy and fun.

The Devil Shops at Target

C'mon nominee Meryl Streep couldn't get Lorraine Schwartz, Chopard or Fred Leighton to loan her a few baubles? Looks like she dug into her own jewelry box from the 60's to come up with this tacky layered look. Anna Wintour would so not approve.

Worst Fowl Play

While we liked the top half of Best Actress nominee Penelope Cruz's Versace dress, the bottom half looked like Big Bird. Her severe braided bun and dull makeup washed out her look. We loved the Chopard earrings, but her dress was too fuzzy.

Best Biel Appeal

Current "it" girl Jessica Biel sure is pretty in pink. Make that sexy in hot pink. Her Oscar de la Renta gown showed off her creamy complexion and turned heads on the red carpet. Color us glad!

Worst Supporting Accessory

She may have won for Best Supporting Actress, but Jennifer Hudson's space age cropped jacket definitely lost on the red carpet. We have one word for it "shrugly". Her chocolate Oscar de la Renta chiffon gown and Fred Leighton diamonds, were completely overwhelmed. Robo chic is not for the Oscars Jennifer.

Most Consistent

We're always excited to see Kate Winslet's effortless style on the red carpet and she didn't disappoint. The Best Actress nominee kept it sleek, simple and sophisticated in a pale green satin, one-shouldered Valentino gown, paired with yellow Chopard diamonds.

Worst Hair

Seems like Cameron loved her windswept locks on a recent Hawaiian vacation so much, she decided to replicate the look on the red carpet. Next time brush your hair girl. We don't care much for off-shoulder white satin Valentino gown, but her stunning Cartier earrings get the green signal.

Worst Cat Call

Maybe Kelly Preston should not have followed her animal instincts? She made sure she was ahem spotted on the red carpet in a leopard print Dolce and Gabbana halter dress. We're not interested in seeing Kelly's wild side, and animal prints work best in small doses.
